Considering two options for head unit upgrade, the Sony XAV-9000ES and XAV-9500ES which is much larger screen and very similar specs. The 900ES of course has a more "factory" look.

Anyone have regrets or substantial downsides to such a large floating screen? Bouncing, cleaning, obstruction to dash controls or anything else?

Cost wise not a big difference and the obvious benefits for an old man and bigger screen size are obvious. The only thing I could see different between the two are physical buttons. Anything else of note?
Looking for negatives regardless how minor you consider them.

I have the 9500 and I love the large screen and it mounts rock solid, doesn't bounce around at all.

I’m one of the KENWOOD 10.1 users. Rock solid. The floating heads are all locked into place with screws and tight anchors. No issues at all.

Biggest negative of a large screen is going to be the cabin-filling backlight on darker roads

    Interesting note, thanks.
No issues to airflow from the vents?

Can you stream YouTube and other media while driving with the Sony 9500es like the Pioneer nex variants?
