Regretting Magnetic Gray

I have zero plans to "blackout" this truck. I don't even like the blacked out sequential turns people buy. I like the LED's and the sequential, but not the tinted look. Same for headlights and taillights. I got some black rims, but I didn't go with black lug nuts because the logo on the rims is "chrome". I also added fender flares that have "chrome" nuts (they are 100% aesthetic and could be painted if you wanted). I even got a TRD skid plate and it looks great. All these "non black" accents provide contrast to the MGM. I don't think it would look bad blacked out, but everyone and their mom does it, so no thanks. TBH, I really didn't care what color taco I got.



Admittedley, the only thing I would like blacked out, is the amber side marker in the headlights. I'd be fine with that totally removed. The rest, I could care less.

 

Black and light. Actually I went with the Method NV bronze wheels. That's a nice contrast! I guess I should post a warning. The lights on the roll bar are Cali Raised which failed after a year and they refused to warranty so I changed them out with KC pod lights which are twice as bright and half the size.

 

Why dont you buy what you like and have them powder coated to the color you would like them to be ?

 

I have been on the fence for months about wheel color for my MGM... after going thru this thread and looking at everyone's killer builds I pulled the trigger on the matte grey 4Runner wheels. Murdered out would've been too much and my wife would've bitched about it all the time.

 

These were delivered yesterday. Gloss grey, or gunmetal. I like em. Will add pics asap.

I understand... there are many with options such as clips, adhesive, etc. Whatever that suits you and fit on your grille. Some people have badge on the top of the grille which is sticker/decal.

That looks great! Did you use the factory tpms sensors or did you get new ones? I'm using the stock wheels for snowtires so I need to get new sensors for the new hoops.

I think MGM looks great with black wheels...

 

I used the stock tpms! Discount tire mounted them up no problem!

 

Same here, I just had to get new valve stems.
