hey guys. i just picked up my first tacoma a few weeks ago, a 2009 regular cab 4x4 5 speed.

i noticed the other day a little yellow sticker in the drivers door frame saying that 'this vehicle has been modified and the payload capacity is redused by 300 pounds'.. so i took a look at the leafs and it looks like it only has 2 leafs in the pack and looks like there has been one removed.

Not sure why they would remove them and not sure what i should do now.

    Any ideas?

PS, sorry if theres already a thread covering this, i did search and found nothing.

You should have 2 full leafs and 1 overload.

And that's considered a "non tsb leaf pack" correct? Ultimately that's a 3 leaf pack then? My truck is the same was as the op's and have never really wondered until I read this thread.

    Thanks.

Ok, well that sounds correct i do have 2 full leafs and then a bigger looking one on the bottom..
In the straps for the leafs there is a big gap at the top.. looks like there was another leaf there at one point?

And what would the sticker be for then?

The trucks are rated for payload/GVWR as a base model. Options add weight, reducing that capacity, hence the sticker.

My 2014 Tacoma has the sticker. It takes into account the weight of the options; the carpeted floor mats and sill protectors, and the sliding rear window.

    5 pounds
