2006 regular cab, can't find the answer to what size the door speakers are and tweeters. Do I need any after market pieces to mount them or will they line right up? Already have aftermarket head unit just want better speakers and tweeters, thanks!

6x9 and you will need the adaptor plates. *********.com makes a great set. I got mine from a local Best Buy. Cost me like 16 bucks. Only took about 10 min a door for install.

I can get the adapter plates at a Best Buy? I went to ********* and they had different diameters and I have no idea what they mean by that, option also was 6x5 or 6x7.5

I have a 2009 regular cab base model, original CD/radio with tweeter and speaker in each door. (Sorry I didn't see this this morning, I could have measured them when I had the panel taken off.) I have continuity between both speakers and through both + to -. Unplugging the tweeter shuts off sound to the bigger speaker, opens circuit. Seems normal. Why isn't there any sound from the tweeter when playing the stereo? I don't think it's making any sound, but the circuit's closed??
