    I cant find info on octane it says truck was tested at 91 i no its not required to run premium but seems better anyo e else running premium.

    87 is all you need. Anything more than that is wasting roughly 40 cents per gallon and buys you nothing.

    Having said that, I suspect you'll find that a number of guys are buying 91/92 because they think it's better. o_O

    Ok wasnt sure nothing really listed i have 2000 miles on truck idle seemed rough in trafic and thought should check

    It seemed to run better and my avg mileage went up at same speed and rpm on highway

    Sticker on door states e85 and ethanol no no's not octane well a minimum but in manuall said reasurched at 91 octane so that to me made me think to run 91

    Not on one tank it won't. Maybe ten tanks you can tell a slight difference. It takes a long time to self adjust timing for different octane.

    I'm in Canada but I doubt the manual changes much. Mine says minimum 87

    Yes, run a couple of tanks worth of 92 and see if you can feel the difference and wether it's worth additional cost(¢20 in my case)
    I can say with certainty it's drives better, in that it responds better mid range, I don't care about actual hp, just better driveability.
    *Better is a subjective, so what's better for me may not be for you

    Higher octane is designed to prevent detonation. Should be used in high compression and turbo applications.

    I don't see any need for it in this mild tune application.
