Question, I drive a lot. In the first year of owning my Truck i've put on 71,500 km. I get the oil change every 8000kms as Toyota Canada suggests but i skip the others like brake checks and what not, I know my truck well enough that brakes are something i will change myself anyway, and they are not warranty so it is a waste of money in my mind.

What are your thoughts on the other services like transfer case flush at 64,000km ? I'm not against doing these things but don't want to always be paying for my high miles on the highway.

    Thanks

I'd do as the owner's manual suggests, not as the dealer suggests, they tend to try to get you to do many early.

I did my front and rear diff at 25k, there was a lot of metallic sludge on the magnets from the gears breaking in so I am glad I did it.

Wait, Toyota Canada recommend oil changed every 5k miles (8k km), yet Toyota North America recommend every 10k miles? It’s the same dam engine, and they both recommend the same oil.

For severe use Toyota Canada and Toyota US say 5k miles. Regular use is 10k

Yeah just go by the book, then put 500k miles on it. In the grand scheme of things it's not that expensive. Cheaper to stay ahead of it then have to swap a T-case or trans.
