Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve talked to enough people now that I’ve decided altitude is the big deciding factor here. I’m at +/- 500 ft. elev. will be going with 4.88. Really appreciate everyone’s input.

Thanks for the thread space, Ryan.

5260lbs with me in it. And I'm boxing my frame soon so I'll be adding more weight. I'm making the 3rz work!

No worries fellas! I'm really wishing I had 5.29s with how heavy my truck is and it's probably only going to get heavier.

Curb weight is 3470lbs so by the time I add some camping gear, coolers, a dog, maybe a person I'll have added a actual ton to this thing.

Wow. heavy pig. I'm at 4380 without my 1/4" skids. It's going to be interesting how heavy i get once I add the full cage from front to rear with links.

Well I received my firering cb cable today. Install it following the diagram and I still had shit for swr. So I decide to completely remove the radio to isolate it from anything that may be interfering and still had nothing.

Frustrated and giving up on the cb I started working on another project, a hoist system for the Nest. After two 40 minute trips to the hardware store I finally had everything I needed. I could probably have come up with something better but this works and gets it out of the way and above head height, just barely.

After that I got back to the cv and closely looked at where my mount and firering meet there was no way it was grounded. My hole on my mount was too small for the plastic lip too fit inside and allow the metal ring to ground to the mount. Drilled a bigger hole and voila 1.5 swr!!! I haven't tried dialing it in yet because it's sitting in my garage.

Also found a place to squeeze my air compressor under the hood. Had to move some evap lines out of the way and it fits like a glove! I'll need to relocate the switch somewhere else at some point but this works for now.

On a bad note I'm pretty sure my oil pan plug is stripped. While @Squeaky Penguin was helping me with my alignment he notice it dripping. I snuggled it up a little bit to see if it stopped and it hasn't. I can see oil dripping off the skid plate so it's gotten worse.

It's what I had laying around. Now that I put the compressor under there I hope to get some sheet metal to make this a little nicer.

I would imagine. I haven't looked into them too much. I was just browsing my bump stop options and they came up. I dont recall ever seeing mention of them on here.

They've been discussed in the Mid Travel BS thread if you do some digging.

For $200 you can get 2.0 fox hyrdo bumps, or maybe even cheaper if you find used ones. Doesn't seem worth the savings.
