Took @cynicalrider idea and used a 2 qt container for a new washer fluid reservoir.

    Also bashed some snow today.

Beginning of the chute on Bill Moore Lake. Unless you are on 40's i don't think anyone is getting up until spring. Or if someone really wanted it could probably be winched to get a trail going. The bypass is completely drifted in.

After Bill was a bust we decided to hit up Bard Creek. Made it to the old mine and decided to turn around. With the snowpack being so shitty lots of back up and ramming were needed. There is crust on top and sugar underneath which provides no traction to break through the crust.

 Though I can't take all the credit. Stole the idea from @Squeaky Penguin and a couple others originally I think.

Traded my wrx for a T100 tonight. It's in fair shape with 325k and unfortunately auto but it's more practical than the car. It should haul my sled around nicely. I've never actually seen one of these up close and was surprised at how much bigger it is compared to the Taco.

97 3.4. I think 94 was the last year they made the T100 with the 3.0.

Started installing my Alcans tonight but didn't get very far. I was hoping since they have only been on there for 3 years nothing would be seized. Well, of course the main eye bolt is so I called it a night since I don't have others. Also stripped a ubolt, I was going to temporarily reuse them but I guess it's time for ubolt flip and shock relocate which also means the frame is getting boxed and kings are going in. Hopefully this backorder that I'm hearing about isn't too long. I was surprised at how much the boss shocks limited my droop and seeing that they were the bottom limit I can't believe I didn't rip them in half at RT this year.

Better pics of the pile I picked up. I can't stand the auto but it hauls the sled well and gets me from A to B. Found it amusing the mention of a fifth wheel in the manual too.

Skip boxing, just do the outside frame plates. Less work but your still welding 3/16" additional to the frame. Do agree u bolt flip, with new longer shocks and custom mounts.

I put just a touch of anti-seize on those main-eye bolts last time I messed with my springs and they pulled right out last weekend.

Also, in for frame boxing, Alcans, and Kings.

Already have the kit. I think with how much weight I have in my bed boxing it would be stronger. If it still isn't enough I'll add a plate to the outside.

I haven't removed the main eye bolt since Toyota replaced the frame, I'm guessing they didn't use anything. My shackle bolts came right out and the grease I coated them with was just as red as it is out of the tube.

Cleaned most of the crap out of the bed and pulled it off tonight. Hosed it down to get rid of all the dirt. Hopefully tomorrow I can pop out the dent in the gas tank and begin prepping to weld in the frame plates. I'm hoping to cut and weld in the spare tire xmember since I utilize the tire carrier for the jerry can rack. Or I could probably attach the lifting mechanism to the new tube easy enough.

Found some motivation after being sick all week to meander down to the garage and box my frame. Originally I was going to just cut and weld in the old crossmember but for some reason I decided to use the tube. I originally cut the tube to fit inside the frame rail and was going to weld it to the plate but the crank hung down to low and the cans would have been lower. It's a little short on top but I doubt I'll have any issues. It does allows the jerry cans to be cranked up higher than with the factory xmember. Not that I was ever really concerned about hitting them but now they will definitely be out of the way.

Also noticed that I bent the passenger shock at some point. You can see why boots are bad... That's as far as I can compress it by hand.

I'm pretty much as far as I can go until I get parts in. Looking at my axle I'm thinking my brake lines might be in the way of where I want to mount my lower shock mount. Once I get the upper crossmember in I'll have a better idea.

Wheeler's shackle flip is out of stock. I was told it should be back in by last week and didn't hear anything different so my whole order is on delay.

Hopefully tomorrow I get the Kings ordered. Waiting to here back from Filthy on valving.

I'm hoping to have this wrapped up before the end of April as I have a climbing trip planned. If not I might be camping like a Neanderthal.. On the ground. :p

Ryan do you have better photos on what the Jerry can holder pivots on? I'm thinking of doing something similar.

    Stuff. Also things.
    This.

I’ve wanted to do something with that space for a long time, but putting tools or recovery gear there seems like a really bad idea in situations where you might need them most. I also really dig that it’s 60# of gas sitting low and out of the way over the axle rather than hanging off the ass end on a swingout.

    Killer idea all around!

I'll get some tomorrow. I basically just cut the shock end off my blown OME shocks and welded it to the frame. Then put a bolt though it to make it hinge.

I'm sure there are some things that you could put there. CV axles come to mind. I've always moved my truck to a safer place to work on when I've broken them. On the other hand if you break a lbj you're not going to be moving the truck so I'd wouldn't put them there. If you do use it for tool/parts storage just keep in mind what you may need when you break.

Also for trails like the kokopelli and such that aren't super technical you're pretty unlikely to break in a situation where you would have something obstructing access from under the bed.
