reinstalling factory security system??

Hello all,

08 Tacoma, bought with 40K miles. Just bought FOB and can't program

I can get into program mode, the clicker locks and unlocks the car in program mode, but then when I open the door and try again I get nothing.

I think there might have been an aftermarket security system installed. Is there an easy way to check this and/or reinstall factory security?

If its a pro job how much would this normally cost?

 

So when I do NickP's instructions on his thread, I get to step 10-B and get the 2 clicks
