Eric is a stand up guy. He has offered his help to me and others many times. His products are by far the best on the market when it comes to fabrication and structural integrity and he stands behind that.

For delivery times, I wish he would update his site to say: "you get your product when you get your product" so we wouldn't have these threads. People will wait for quality.

You get your product when you get your product is nothing more than an excuse for being irresponsible and unprofessional. Just be honest - if its gonna be an 8-12 month lead time just say so. That way the consumer can make an educated purchasing decision and if they choose to move forward then it's all good. If they choose to go elsewhere since they don't want their hard earned cash having evaporated into thin air with nothing to show for it for an extended period of time then that's fair enough too. If you give a someone a x-y month lead time stick to it +/- a month. Under promise & over deliver and excellent communication are the keys to success in business.

I am not bashing his product at all. It is great product equal to other companies out there that make the same thing.

I'm sure Eric is a swell guy, I don't know him outside of the 3 encounters I had with him. All of which were on a business level.

One was a phone call i had with him in April he laughed at the time I was quoted.

The second was in person at an expo a month later when he walked away from me as I was trying to buy a part for a Hi-lift. He literally turned his back to me as I was asking him a question. (In his defence the expo was busy)... But still, Not a paying customer.

And the third time he called me out in a public forum implying I was mistaken on the parts I had in hand.

He might be a stand up guy. But he is a sit down business man.

I work for a large manufacturing company as a welder. Scheduling isn’t hard. Managing different parts for different models isn’t hard either. Some people are excellent builders but terrible at business. If you’re one of those people and you decide to start your own business, you should delegate the business end of it to someone more capable. I worked for myself in the construction industry for quite a few years and telling someone something they don’t want to hear isn’t easy, but when you have integrity it’s what you do. This “oh it’s okay if he promised one thing and didn’t deliver nor communicate worth a shit” mentality blows my mind. Makes it hard for everyone else because you never forget the time you took a chance on someone end it went 180 degrees from how it could’ve.

An update to the terms and conditions of purchasing his product wouldn't be either irresponsible or unprofessional. Caveat emptor.

An update to the terms and conditions is very responsible and it is very professional. At the point of purchase.

After purchase when terms change is deplorable, dishonest and disgusting way to run a business.

Agreed, and that's why I said he should update the site.

Damn. The third one down is as far as I need to go for a review. I have purchased a couple small parts from him with no issue but those were on the shelf ready to go. Have to say there probably won't be any more shipments to me from Sparks.

Wish that dude would’ve never done that group buy (group robbery). Far and away the best bumpers I’ve ever seen built for a first gen. Why someone hasn’t replicated his design is beyond me. If I could weld I’d look up an active member with an Elite bumper in my area, take measurements, thank them kindly, and commence to making a shitload of cash. Just search Elite bumper, so many people came to this site just to ask where to get one. Blows my mind someone hasn’t picked up where he left off.
