ok gotcha. i have an access cab so that wouldn't be an issue for me. any pic on something like this? and is there any change in price for having the kickup?

Sorry, must have missed that post somehow. Could you please try to elaborate a little, I'm kind of confused on what you really want...
Nothing that I can tell really. I use 2" vs their 1.75" tube, but thats really about it.
Shipping to HI would probably be about $150 like with my bumpers.
Yeah I'm sure I could do something for that.
Yeah, gotta keep this in mind. :)
I actually havent done a set with a Kick-up yet but I figured I'd offer them as an option since some guys like the way they look and it shouldnt be hard to throw a few more tubes on the sliders.

In the photo above the outter step/rail/slider section is one piece of tubing. The pics of yours are two outter main tubes. One piece inserts at a 45 degree angle to the square tubing toward the center. The other short support sections that come across from the square tube to the main round tube are all at 90 degrees. I would like a single outter tube, not two piece.

The angles you are using for bends are fine... just instead of keeping it coming into the square tubing and the other section welded to it, just have the tube bend back parallel and continue in a straight path all in one piece before tying into the front.

Kind of hard to describe in words I hope it makes sense.

Just because it's something I can't keep from asking: would you want the brace repositioned as well? As Lrgrnr mentioned about, it would reduce the strength - but that's your call.

    DevL-
Not sure I can do that due to the die I have for my tube bender. Its only designed to bend to 90*, and if I did the kickout like that then the rearmost bend would be over 90*. And as the other guys said, the regular design would be stronger.

Perhaps I am missing something.... its exactly like what you already do. The only thing you change is to have the rear section tube longer, stick it in the bender from the opposite end, do a 45 degree angle parallel where the other piece is welded in the original design and then 45 degree at the end in the square tube. I dont see any angles over 90 degrees. As for strength, it will be DOM and it would have a horizontal support from the outter tube to the square tube in about the same place where the rear piece inserts on the current design. I dont see that as impossible to do or any weaker at all. Its probably stronger.

Alright, I'll have to do a couple test bends to see what exactly I can do for this.

If the bends work I will have the cash set aside for SBDC hybrid w/ kickout in DOM for the round tubing, just need a final quote.

Really love everything about your hybrid slider design from the shape of the square tubing on the ends to flow better with the truck, the distance covered front to back and upward angle of the round tubing (not too short), and how all the round tube sections are tied in withou leaving a cap on the end, the diameter of the round tube, etc.
