Don’t understand how you lose thousands of $$$ in stuff if you leave nothing of value in your truck. Anyway here’s what you need to do -
    1) clear out everything of value from your truck that isn’t absolutely necessary. Leave nothing of value in it.
    2) get a quality alarm hooked up to a loud horn
    3) put notes up inside your home, where you can’t miss them reminding you to lock your truck. You can lock it with your fob from inside your home. As a back up set the alarm on your phone to go off nightly at a certain time when you know your home.. When the alarm sounds you know it’s a reminder to lock the truck.
    4) get an exterior motion detector alarm that will alert you inside your house (they are relatively inexpensive)
    5) get motion detector lights around your truck.

You are covered now. Kick back have a beer (or soda) and relax.
(If leaving reminder notes up permanently and setting your phone alarm doesn’t get you to lock your vehicle then I’m sorry but it’s a lost cause)
Other thoughts - if you have a spouse or someone else living with you have them also remind you. Also if you live in a home park your truck in the garage. If none of these suggestions work then you are just screwed.

Experienced this in Bonaire. The vehicle of choice was always a 4-door Hilux (90% of tourisim is scuba diving, need a truck to haul scuba shit). And not only did the rental companies require that you leave it unlocked, they also highly recommended leaving the keys in the ignition, or you will pay for damage by theft. If you take the key diving and drop it, you will pay handsomely for that too. The reasoning is that its a tiny island and thieves have no interest in vehicles or parts. They do however have great interest in things that tourists bring with them, like wallets and cameras. (They do recommend taking your wallet with you while diving... go figure). And sure enough, after having a fat lunch at a pizza place we went on an afternoon dive. Some fucker stole half of a leftover pizza out of the back seat.

Sometimes I need to remember to do something when I get home, but for some reason or another I'm worried I will forget. So, I'll tell my phone (siri) to remind me to "set the garbage cans out when I get home" or something similar. Or a daily alarm reminder to lock things before bed.
Maybe that could help you remember to lock things up. Or maybe a note or small sign board asking you if you locked things up before going through the door when you get home.
I'm wondering, since you have the camera, did you get hit the same time or same day consistently? Could lead to a few stakeout nights if there's a pattern.

It works! (So far anyway. No break-ins yet.) I didn't sweat ruining my camo with yellow paint, since it's on a bright red truck.

This "drone mobile solution" ---- can they drop ordinance as the a-hole walks away (so as not to damage the truck, of course)?

I had iguana soup and conch fritters. Of the two, I recommend the fritters.

The good news is that I caught the whole thing on camera despite the spider web obstruction. Based on their behavior and general demeanor, I think it might be the same person from the earlier hits. One of my neighbors also shared some video footage showing an individual trying door handles around the same time, and it seems to match the person I caught on camera. Two other neighbors had their cars rummaged through. I’ve handed all this over to the police.

I need reminders for SOOOO many things. Sticky notes are my friend. So is Alexa. And Alexa is great for this, as it gives the reminder in the house, and pings my cell phone (and if i'm not in my house, I sure as hell have my cell phone). We have recurring weekly ones, plus I'm always doing ad-hoc one offs.
