    New Pioneer stereo, and all 4 speakers with Infinity components. Sirius satellite radio. Deckplate mod done. Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
    I have a gen 1 with a 2.7 it is a CHAIN, there are no belts in the 4 cyls..... THANK GOD.....

    You're right, the 2RZ and 3RZ had a chain, while the V6's had belts.

    Thats great to know that for sure. Just got mine with 140K on it and KNEW i'd soon be digging into her to change one of those darned belts. Another thread on here qued me into the possibility it was a chain. What a blessing!! J

    My 97 2.7L blew a head gasket at 234k, but I got the truck at 196k for my 17th birthday. Idk how the guy before me drove it, but I did a lot of highway driving and did my share of wheelin' in her. my dad & I changed the head gasket, got the head cleaned and shaved a little bit, and put her back together, runs BETTER than it had when I got it. & She'll def. be good for another 100k.

    I once saw a 3.0L 4Runner sell for 5000 on Craigslist. Only had 375 thousand miles on it. And those were the ones that were known for eating headgaskets.
