One came across the line at an auction I was at a couple of years back. Didn't know it was on the lot because I was too hell bent on finding another TDI at the time. If I had known about, and had the time to inspect it before it went on the block, I probably would have jumped on it. Looked spotless, well taken care of, and low mileage for the age. Went for $950 Canadian. Checked it over after it sold. Couldn't find a spec or rust, a scratch or dent on it. Engine purred like a Singer sewing machine. The classic iron, not the new crap. I suspect it was someone's summer car given the condition and mileage, and that they garage stored it during the winter. It's not uncommon around here for people to have a nice car, and a winter beater.

Had a 91 civic Si with 200k miles which were rolled back for sure because the numbers were all crooked. That little guy just would not die, I was in my early twenties and drove that thing like a complete asshole. It was impressive how easily she started every single time.

Came with no power steering but with power sunroof that did not leak!

Had a '91 Civic as well. Mine was a DX that I bought brand new when I was 17. Passenger door side view mirror was an option. Taught myself to drive standard in it. Got the clutch good and hot a few times, but it was still on the original when I traded it after 9 years. Only issue I had was the timing belt letting go at 43000km's. Got lucky though that there was no collateral damage.

I’ve had my 2018 OR for 3 yrs. Get in, start up, drive to where I want to go. When going camping I hook up my 3200# camper and tow to the campsite and back. If I need 4wd it’s there. Very reliable I’d say. :)

He didn't say it wasn't a reliable engine which it is. Just don't expect the v6 3.5 to have the same as life of the 2.7.

The 2.7 lasts longer myth, yet everyone other one with high miles always claims new head gasket and valve job esp if the truck was modded

I have a 2004 EX-L V6 accord that is still reliable, the only thing I had to replace was a tension pulley, the drive selector handle ($20) and now going to replace the trunk latch ($40). Never left anyone stranded. Had a 2012 Accord Ex-L V6 not a single issue with it, traded it in for a 2020 2.0T Turbo 10 speed auto EX-VL and hope it’s just as reliable. Most reliable cars I’ve owned in 45+ years of driving. If my Tacoma is as reliable as my Honda’s I’ll be happy, and I believe it will be.
