Only problem with circulating the air is when weighing the powder on a scale. Air currents can and will move the scale.

I have to close my AC vent when I mess with the scale, it will indeed mess with it with air circulating. Got to watch your breathing too! When I first got started I had my setup portable as I was doing apartments. I built a 2 1/2 foot by 6 foot bench with a top of 3 pieces of 3/4" plywood. Used wing nuts on the press bolts so it could be removed fast. I had two old Army wooden grenade boxes and in the beginning I could store all of my reloading stuff in those two boxes so the bench now becomes a desk when I wasn't reloading. Just a thought, it worked for me and I reloaded in the AC and Central Heat. :)

I could shut off the fan and do a batch of powder, then load and crimp.

Naw, just telling me the issues in the plan and I need to figure out a solution to.

Here's how I set up my single stage Lee for rifle. My Dillon 550 is permanently mounted to my bench, but this one can go anywhere with a couple of C clamps. It's on 3/4" plywood, but I'd go 1" if I were to rebuild it.

Bought a 100 45 caliber 230 gr round nose powder coated bullets. Got them in red. Will load them up and see how they do when I get them. Anyone else had any experience with powder coated bullets?

Powder coated for what purpose? Like a tracer round?

Well from what I've read the powder coating acts like lube on a cast bullet. Meaning you can run them faster with no leading of the barrel and cheaper than jacketed. Plus they look cool. I'm looking forward to testing them. That's why I only ordered a 100.

So it's not a form of moly? I tried that years back for awhile and the extra work and time needed wasn't worth it. It is on a cast bullet? Interested to hear and see more about this.

No - it's literal power coating. Plastic. Reduces leading in the barrel and in the air when shooting, or so they say. I have no direct experience with it.

What he said. When I get them I will load them and post the results here and see what I get. I had never heard of powder coating bullets but after reading some I said shoot why not try it. $12/100 plus shipping. The guy will work more with the price the more you buy. I just started with a hundred just to see.

Cheaper to just make loading blocks. Choice of material. Wood, plasic, even aluminum. And a drill press.

I agree but $2? for an 80 hole RCBS. Hard to beat.

And then there is the other end of the spectrum, the per caliber AL blocks machined on a CNC machine.

Those are awesome. If I was still at community college in machining I would make myself one in a heartbeat. But now I'm at a university.

Test loads for my 308 with 150 gr TTSX and H4895. Probably head to the range early tomorrow & shoot for groups. They're all right at the limit of case capacity, from 44.1 to 45 grains.

Those bullets perform wonderfully. They will appear similar to the images below. That is a .458" TTSX opened up. That is a quarter under the opened TTSX. Reminds me of a small fan blade as it is still spinning as it slows down.

How is it cleaning the copper out of your barrels?
