The nickel stuff is actually nickel plated brass, and it reloads just fine. Steel, not so much.

I was thinking about taking a roll of 55 gallon trash bags out next time and picking up stuff.

That must be an awful lot of trash. I appreciate all those who pitch in to help pick up after the inconsiderate's . I have empty trash bags in all the off roadway capable trucks and other buggies.

We have a shooting spot that hard to find but people still find it. We keep it clean and have put up a shade cover table and chairs fire pit bbq... We made it nice and comfortable for all types of weather for all to enjoy. We go out at least once a month sometime more but the first thing we do is pick up 2 or 3 bags of trash. I don’t get why people are pigs? They enjoyed the place. Found it clean and leave it a mess. I think we are the only ones that pick up shotgun shell. Even when I’m hunting I pick up my shotgun gun hulls.
The surrounding are is pretty clean so all that trash comes mainly from the shooters.

Our local favorite shooting spot stays pretty clean. Some people leave brass, but the first reloader that comes by is happy to see it. Other than that, people around here are real good about keeping it nice.

My spot for shooting is right in my yard, good to about 300 yards. Those from town go a couple miles Southwest on minimum maintenance road and it's also a dirtbag dump site. People too damn cheap to pay and use the local landfill.

I just don’t get it. I’m not the cleanest person but I’m not messy or a slob. I don’t want to leave in trash.

We have the same problem at work. A lot of people make a mess out OT the break room and bathrooms. The trash can is empty with a bunch of trash on the floor. They make a mess out of the sink and microwave. I’ve been written up for stopping to many times while I’m on deliveries. I told them to keep the bathroom clean and I would use them at the plant. I wouldn’t have to stop as much then. Of course it a younger guy in charge and doesn’t understand how your body changes when you get older. I’m not using your disgusting bathroom and getting some disease!

If I can say one good thing about this covid thing is work is keeping the place much cleaner.

I love that some folks pick up after them selves and others.

I in the past would pick up others crap/garbage.

Its got to the point that homeless drug addicts have over whelmed the FS and BLM.
    At least around Bend OR.
Feels almost pointless to help anymore.

Sheriff's office just removed 3300lbs of garbage from a "camp site" south of Bend.
Locals remove tons of trash just to be cool, little groupy advertisers ... fine by me... clean it up.

    Meth-heads suck.

Top right seems to be the load. 200 yards. 23.5 gr of cfe 223, 77 gr tmk at 2.420 coal. Will bring the chrono next round. Gunna load up 100 of them and stretch it out to 500. See how she’s does.

I have a pound of CFE but haven’t used any of it yet. I think I’ll give it a try with some 77gn.

I’ve have better luck with varget for 73gr eld’s, and 77gr mks. CFE223 has been the tits for 55-62 gr varmint rounds.

I’ve used Varget a lot for 308 & 30-06 but have put it on the back shelf in favor of other powders. I’ve not loaded any 223 yet because of my supply of factory rounds.

Well due to the fact that the entire professional shooting world also uses varget, it’s hard to come by. So if you’re trying to free up that back shelf and selling some varget...I’m your huckleberry... :anonymous:

These shortages are happening way to often. I learned my lesson a long time ago. Don't get rid of reloading supplies because you'll use it, probably sooner than later.

Just wondering if any of you have went through load development, got something that worked out great, then find out a particular component has been dropped from production? This happened to me with 300 Winchester Short Mag. I found a good combination using Accurate 3100 and Nosler 165g Accubond. Then find out 3100 powder not made any longer:annoyed:those bullets aren't cheap, even their regular tipped bullets that I used for initial development.

Just looked at gunbroker for kicks to see primer prices. Holy hell, lol.

Anyone want 5000 small rifle primers for $1500 with 2 days left to bid? That’s the price I saw today. Going to be interesting to see what that ends up at.
