I ordered the flush mount inline fabrication press mounts, I may go down to 40” or so, I’m 6’3”.

My bench frame is 39", 3/4" plywood on top of that - so 39 3/4".

My presses are mounted on 3/4" oak boards (to be easily moved), which brings it up to 40 1/2".

I'm 6'2", and either stand or sit/lean against a stool.

I find it a great working height for me.

I appreciate the info, it looks like 40” will be the target height.

I much prefer working while standing straight up, rather than leaning over.

Of course, it took me years to figure this out......

I load for my Garand - which I have shot in quite a while...

I mostly load light .357 for my pistol cartridge Henry. I shoot silhouette with it.

I need to get some 8mm dies to start reloading for my Mauser. I have decent little stock of brass and even bought some bullets but keep putting off the die set.

Depends on the brass, but for the HXP surplus brass I have there was a lot of case trimming. Most of the time any surplus brass requires a lot of case prep but usually worth the effort.

In your opinion, would you recommend a new one like Inland, or Auto ordnance, or try and wait for good deal
    on a surplus piece?

That’s a good idea that you have there with the whiteboard and the list of things you need I’m constantly trying to remember what I’m out of. Also digging the kids art on the wall:thumbsup:

some of my daughters artwork she’s made for me. The bottom one is a tile that she painted in grade school art class. I’m sure the super liberal California art teacher was thrilled with that one:D

    Oh thank you !
Yeah, I spend a lot of time out there whether I'm reloading or not. My kids are all grown up, but whenever they made me something or
drew me a picture i kept it. Having been in scouting, and youth programs at Church kids give me stuff all the time.
I keep everything the kids give me, I really throw it away. The memories are too precious !
