We didn't have a Shakey's around here growing up. We had a place called Mr. Gatti's that we would go to for the end of the season party. They had the tables with Galaga, Pacman etc etc. Fun times.

I had a coach when I was around 10 that took us to eat pizza every few games. He really didn't care if we won or lost as long as we had fun. The first year I played, we won first place. The second year, last place . He didn't scream or yell, he just enjoyed it. Now it seems a little too competitive at that early of an age. I still see him around quite a bit. He hasn't changed much in 40 years.

That's great! My peewee baseball career started almost exactly the same. First year to play we finished in first. I was on the Indians. I didn't do much other than stand in left field and strike out but I really had fun. Second year we were somewhere at the bottom, still on the Indians. Same Coach both years and he never ever yelled. Even if you struck out he was always "Way to attack that ball!" I think he's still around town but I haven't seen him in probably 25 years or more.

I agree. It's way too competitive nowadays. Back then it was fun, win or lose. Now they are all playing for a championship ring and crap like that. Gotta drive to 3 hours to this town to beat that town blah blah blah.

I don’t like having to work on modded trucks but that is sweet.
    Just enough....
