    Have you dumped it into conservative stuff? I did that last year to avoid any long term downswings (like 2008). It took forever to crawl out of that hole.
    I (think) this will be short lived.

    I was planning to move into conservative stuff with two-ish years left before retirement. I am reassessing my plans now and will wait to see how things go over the next 6-18 months.

    It amazes me how many people I work with that have absolutely no idea where their money is or what it's doing.
    I talked with a lady last week that is retiring in a couple of months...she said, "I dunno, I'm just retiring". :annoyed:

    It's scary what some folks think (or don't think) about retirement. Years and years ago I asked my ex-wife how much money she thought we would need to retire. She answered $10,000. I then asked her what we would do when that ran out after 3-4 months. Deer in the headlights.....

    Yeah it’s a nice sight. I haven’t put gas in the truck in a month, haven’t worked in about the amount of time. It’s just off the full mark, it only gets used as a grocery getter now.

    I can remember when.
    My dad would give me $5.00 and have me walk over to the gas station. I'd fill up a 5 gallon metal can. Get a soda and a candy bar. Still have money left over.

    Gas was $1.34 yesterday
