    I think he did.

    I remember him being all over every billboard and cigarette machine in restaurants though. I don’t smoke but I remember packs in those machines being around $1 or $2

    Ok, when I was growing up, none of my friends moms had jobs.

    One income families.

    When my first child was born, the attitude we got when we told our friends and neighbors my wife would stay home and take care of the baby.

    Those same friends and relatives saying they would love to do that, but couldn’t afford to- all the while driving new cars, eating in restaurants a few days a week, and vacations to Disneyland or the Virgin Islands.

    My mom didn’t work a public job until I was 10 years old. I would go to my friends houses who had air conditioning and ice makers and I thought they were rich. We had neither, we did get a/c when I was 17.

    I remember getting up early on Saturday mornings to watch dukes of hazard, the jetsons, and the flinstones. That was the only time those shows came on. That was if weren’t getting wood up, in a hayfield, tobacco field, or deer hunting though.
