I'll never forget tackling Roy Highland during one of our backyard football games. I broke his collar bone. I thought his dad was going to beat me senseless because of the ER bill.

My father? "Well....you deserved a woopin'.". :smack:

    Different times. :D

Except you didn't... unless there is more to the story, just kids out playing.

Accidents happen, it's what people seem to forget.

Dammit, we've all become the old guys that sit around reminiscing about the good old days. Didn't think I would ever get here but time flies.

And I NEVER remember anyone standing around the circle watching the fight jumping in to sucker punch one of the fighters or bash them over the head with a chair from behind !
Plus.... there wasn't one obese angry parent in pajamas to be seen jumping into the fray !! :boom:

Believe you me.....If I had seen on of Mrs. G's titties pop out of her pajama top, I would have remembered

See You at the Bandstand at 2:15 !! :curls:

i definitely seem to remember that. going toe to toe became something of a lifestyle for me back then. i'd probably be drugged and locked up for defending myself nowadays.

Life was so much simpler in the 70's and 80's.

No TV after school for us.... But I did get a kick out of Lamonte and Fred's predicaments and Chico and the Man too !

I would even catch my otherwise stately grandmother chuckling with a smile at Edith & Archie.

Pretty sure most of the hippies got jobs on Wall St.....just kidding.

Anybody remember when phone numbers were 7 digits unless you were calling out of State?

When I was young and rode on crowded public transportation, men would get up to give a woman a seat.

Anybody remember having a savings account with a passbook, and the teller would stamp the book with the deposit and current total? That might still be going on, not sure.

And yeah, what a bunch of old fucks reminiscing about the good old days, me included, lol

    Lol, too funny

All the phone numbers started with two letters, so you are correct.

you could just dial the last five in my town. and neighbor numbers for the folks on your party line were only 3.

pay phones were a dime, but you could talk forever.

I used to collect matchbook covers. one way to date the cover was by the number of digits in a business' phone number. had one from a coal company in Mystic, Connecticut, that was "23".
