    Yes indeed !

I just don`t see the reason to buy New Torn jeans I will forever tease people I see wearing them.

I say I know times are rough if you can`t afford to patch your jeans.

Till my parents forgot the keys and sleep in the car because it was dark I was not sure it was them.

They said Do Not Let anyone in I was doing what they instructed .

I was rough on baby sitters I always asked if I could practice my knots for the Cub Scouts .

The ones that came back worried me I think they enjoyed it.

We had a side by side fridge in that colour for about 40 years, had it painted to match when we moved into a new house in 1982. Damn thing still worked but leaked..one of my sister's inlaws used it as a beer fridge for some time after.

Those built-in cabinets really sucked to take off the wall when I remodeled my kitchen in 2015, my electrician figured the walls hadn't been apart in close to 50 years at least

You should have listed this one first, as that is the direct translation of "Minnesota" from Ojibwa to English (you being from MN and all.)

I sure remember those commercials as a kid at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, SD.
The Hamm's Beer brewery was still there when I move to MN in '89.

Also remember ALL of those multi-plank advertisements for Burma Shave along the highways. Always rhymed. My dad had one he repeated often about Ida, but I can't quite remember it all. Something like, "If I'da known, that Ida mis-behaved, I'da used Burma Shave"??

    "A Man - A Miss
    A Car - A Curve
    He Kissed The Miss
    And Missed The Curve"

    "No Lady Likes
    To Dance
    Or Dine
    Accompanied By
    A Porcupine"

    "Ben Met Anna
    Made A Hit
    Neglected His Chin
    Ben-Anna Split"

Showing that it's a rotary odometer and not digital.
With 55 highlighted. I like it!

Remember these BEFORE the kilometers were added?

(Also remember the ones overseas with ONLY kilometers. Citroen, Daihatsu, Datsun, Suzuki, Yamaha, Rabbit, etc. oh, and one called Toyota, or something like that. :) )

Remember when you didn't have to lock you doors. The only thing you had to worry about was your neighbor come home drunk.

I think that the minor km/h scale to speedometers were added when the UNLEADED FUEL ONLY mandate was passed. Was that the '74 or '75 model year? The highlighted double-nickel speed was late to the show... My 78 Buick had all black numerals on a silver background. Not until 80 or 81 did the red "55" appear...

I rented a car in Wisconsin recently, but it had Ontario tags... So the primary scale was in km/h. The cars I've rented in Oz and Europe only had km/h.

Also note that the odometer measure distance traveled to six significant figures (5.1), where most cars nowadays measure to seven (6.1). I think my 89 Olds was the first car I owned with a mechanical odometer that measured up to 999,999.9 miles traveled. It was a right of passage for me to flip the odometer on that 78 Buick back to 00000.0

The only time I locked my Doors or removed Keys from the vehicles outside was when I worked on the Road for weeks or Months.

If my neighbors drove home that drunk they would not make it close to getting home.

Though my neighbors wife like to pretend she had been drinking I never complained She was 25 years younger .

Had a '73 Mazda RX-3SP rotary engine, 5 spd that I think show 160 mph on the speedo. That was appropriate, un-like the speedo in your Chevelle that was obviously insufficient.
I had it at over 125 mph in 4th, with my dad sitting in pax seat. I kept wanting to shift to 5th and he kept telling me to "leave it there". The terrain wasn't real hilly, but wasn't exactly flat, so he was right, I would've lost speed had I shifted. That wee car could cruise at over 100 mph all day long! Bet your Chevelle could too, as long as the fuel tank was full.
