Dat phone wid da 40ft spiral cord you'd pull to next room or closet for privacy. Stretched out and eventually a spider web mess hanging on da hook. Remember trying to get it untangled...damn near impossible after awhile.

 

Remember the phone, but had color on tv by the time I came around.

 

We had color TV in family room. Parents had BW in bedroom. One year brother and I got the 13" BW set for Christmas.

My Grandma was all about the Tang.

 

Our first tv was a hand me down black and white from grand parents. They bought a new black and white tv

 

The Tangwich was a staple in the Bundy household

 

Stepdad's sister always had that... dunno why she liked it so much.

 

Spam burgers made in Crisco.

 

Spam burger, spam sandwich. The only different was the bread!

 

Anyone remember the big red wax lips you could buy at the candy counter. Would wear them around for a while then chew them like gum. Terrible.

 

Used to drink alot of tang back in the kiddy days, was also really good sprinkled over ice cream.

 

That reminds me of the 7th Grade. The school board decided we needed a handbook, with all of the school rules, in it. It was the 7th Grade History teachers responsibility to read the book to us.

I remember Mr. Davis reading a rule that said “No Knives”. He then said, “Now boys, that means nothing over 7 or maybe 8 inches. That does not mean you can’t bring your pocketknife to school”. Mr. Davis was a good man. I still think of him often.
