No way, Furley would've karate chopped Roper! Besides Roper always had that creepy smile on his face.

I recall in the mid-late 80's that there were no kids playing in the streets like I did... I blamed the Atari and the Nintendo.

It started really hitting me after high school when I was in college. I would get together with friends from high school pretty much every major summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) to play softball. Right after high school, we'd have to wait our turn to get a field. A few years later, we were the only people in the park... sad...

I will make pie dough just to load it up with butter, cinnamon, & sugar…. Then roll it up like a mini cinnamon roll and half bake it! Soooo good!!!
Fun fact… love my cookies and brownies half baked:wink:

Don`t remind me of those days I had to carry a flash light all the time.

Run to the bathroom a few minutes return to the TV and all the lights off.

It did force me to develop excellent night vision.

Then later buy electric company stock.

Lol!! I’m constantly turning lights off. Hubbs walks out of his closet leaving the light on. I’m always asking, “You done in there?” :frusty:

    I lived outside .

Then traffic increased. populations became more dense .

every kid it seems had 2 or 3 sets of parents and bounced between them like ping pong balls .

live outside the school district for what ever reason so the kids your in school with live miles away

Divorced parents afraid the ex spouse is going to run off with the kids.

I had em all starting with the Mattel Intellivision (remember those?) and still play today. BUT, then and now, that's something I do when it's dreadful outside or something similarly drastic. On a nice day you couldn't pay me enough to not go out and ride my bikes.

Atlanta, GA airport has a great collection of metal lunch boxes & thermoses on display in concourse E. Must be 50 of them. All different and some reaching back to the '30s (?maybe?)
I took photos of it, but have misplaced them. I'll edit this post if I find them.
