Yes, a real diecast metal Bruning from the 1960’s. I think these all became plastic somewhere around 1980. They got rid of the screws and put metal clips on it like a Dodge distributor cap.

I wore out a couple of these back in the day, and this was actually built from parts of survivors.

Except for the little sliding chuck, they virtually never wore out; but if you dropped one you could wreck the spindle or crack the housing.

I got lotza cords here. Big 12ga cords. After all, how long can a 15 amp grinder run on batteries?

I still only like Carta Blanca and Grolsch.

I remember when Coors was $1.59 a six pack, but you could get Brown Derby for $0.99. With tax that was about $0.18 a beer. A draft beer in any bar was $0.50 in those days.

But weren't the draft beer small? Only 8 oz or something like that?

I worked as a draftsman in the late 70s and early 80s and we had them. Could burn a hole in paper in a heartbeat. We used Mylar for drawings. Pencil first then ink. If you fowled up, you could lick the eraser to erase the ink, but it always left a spot on the Mylar, but never showed on the prints.

The real question just how large the battery would need to be to get any useful time.

Extension cords and air hoses for the win!!

I grew up in Kansas. At 14 we could get a permit to drive dawn to dusk.

That was a easy work around put 4 of the same pens in line taped together .

The teachers never looked that close. You would never waste class time doing that it was on your own time.

Here it was 16 to be legal. Then in those days Real State Police did the driving test.

He looked at me knowing I was a farm kid . Asked " How long have you been driving"

Then laughed when I said 3 or 4 years.

    Different teachers .

Bad luck for you or good to have that dedicated of a teacher.

As long as it was finished the next day . just a glance then filed in the circular file.

Not long after that I was banished to the principals office.
