Wish that I could have bought my 77' new. Then again, I would have been 8 years old.
It was ten years old when I got it, so close enough. :D

I still have the warranty, & I may have the sales contract. We might actually find out what my dad paid for the model 80a Scout.

(Remember that it now wears the model 800 body.)

Back in the late 1940's and early 1950's an x-ray to size your shoes was popular. I remember going to a store that used this to fit my feet, a long drive but everything was up to date in Kansas City.

I don't ever remember bread lasting long enough at our house to develop mold. Just like leftovers. The other kids at school used to complain about having leftovers for lunch. I'd scratch my head and ask "what's leftovers?".

Many Days if not for that Scoped 22 Long Rifle We might not have had any meat.

The women who owned the farm could make most anything taste good. A shame that skill never transferred to my Mom.:annoyed:

When your hungry it all tastes good thrown in the stew pot.

About the only thing not eaten were skunks :amen:

The mold is better for you than the preservatives they put in to prevent it.

It is only me I hate to go grocery shopping it is not uncommon to come home with 5 or 6 loaves so they need to get frozen.

I give bread 6 months maybe. Otherwise ice forms in the bag, then its a mess. Meat can go a few years if packaged right.
