I had an 86 Schwinn just like that one new that was stolen, an 86 chrome Hutch WS I sold, and a 86 Diamond Back I practically gave away in college..still kicking myself for that one.

The Schwinn I saved from Craigslist 7 yrs ago and got it safe, then did the resto over the winter. Other 2 are original paint and decals. I wanted to do the Hutch pink (like my hero Woody Itson's pink Trick Star) but didn't. Would love an old TS some day but that's a huge cost.

Yeah the prices are def getting out of control, and the fewer and fewer examples that are around or available, the higher the prices go. I'm not sure there will be a correction or bottoming out. People are asking crazy jack for stuff like forklifter bars, OG redline flights, etc.

ahhh! that would explain why I never saw them. the stretch of track in my neighborhood just didn't happen to have them when I looked. Very fascinating!

    Those wrist rockets were nasty!

True though in those cases there's little to start with, same issue with the higher end Hutch stuff. Unfortunately for me..

IDK, it seems to be getting more reasonable as a whole versus 5 yrs ago but the top stuff will always be a reach..

I've got tree rats aka squirrels who dig in my bonsai trees. I finally had to buy a squirrel trap (lethal). I just don't have any other choice, I tried every squirrel repellent possible.

Squirrels are just rats with cute tails. They make great targets. So do whistle pigs.
I got an albino whistle pig last year in my wood pile.

that's awesome. i unfortunately would have my truck as a backstop for weapons and i live in the wrong politcal community for shooting stuff in the front yard, even with a pellet gun, the neighbors would call the damn cops and say I'm shooting a sniper rifle.

Remember pulling into a gas station and driving across a rubber hose that rang a bell ? Where the service person would come out fuel your ride, wash the windshield and check the oil.
Now, fast forward to 2025 a new , Patriot, of all names. Fuel center with no attendent a lobby full of vending machines. NO cash accepted, card only for every purchase . Need to use the potty, you'll need to buy fuel as the door code is printed on the receipt. Cross your fingers the pump has receipt paper in it.
