A few friends worked there, was just talking to one of my besties who worked there and said "they did just enough to screw up a good thing"..haha

Re bands..love the ones mentioned especially Primus. Though I have seen Godsmack well over 100 times.

Growing up in Milwaukee we had a Best Buy and a Circuit City right across from each other. Best Buy just was always way more busy than CC. There was something about it, it also sort of helped that it was easier to get in and out of BB right off the freeway entrance. It's so underestimated how traffic patterns can impact a business.

The DOTs in my area are constantly putting up those long cement islands to prevent turning into a business across a lane of traffic. All I can say is, I just avoid the businesses on those corners - it's just too much of a hassle to get in.

I think Best Buy was really good at branding compared to Circuit City too. And in the 90s, Best Buy always had new CDs on sale for $9.99 the week they came out. That had me in there constantly.

Do you remember when everyone used to take care of their homes and yards? We like to drive around town looking at various property's and how nobody does anymore than the bare minimum anymore for up keep. I live in a newer housing development with 300K plus homes (Ohio) and its same here. Mow the grass and that is it. Landscaping is full of overgrown weeds. Vinyl siding covered with green mold, bushes and trees over grown. We even saw one house the tree had actually over grown into their porch area and several others that literally disappeared in all the unkept over growth that over took the house.
It used to be maybe one house in the neighborhood like that. Its now 1/2 of some neighborhoods. I was working 60 hour work weeks for decades and always took care of my home weather i was tired or not. Its not just homes. I saw a restaurant here and a couple churches that were no better. Nobody seems to care anymore.
