    Not exactly, remember those clear plastic seat covers. Some cars did have a little plastic as an accent, usually white. In those days plastic was expensive.

    Fingerhut was the company behind those hot sticky bad ideas. they eventually turned brown and brittle with age (kinda like we all do)!
