    Very nicely done OP.

    I won't go into all the details, but I am sure glad you did. Hearing, learning, sharing those kind of stories should never be hindered.
    -My Grandfather fought & was wounded in WW1. Died of the gas-ruined lungs by 60. I did get the chance to know & love him.
    -My Father fought, wounded, shot-down twice, and a PoW in WW2. Lived to 95. Started in B-24s, retired in B-52s, flew (shot at every day) in Laos w/ AAm during Vietnam. Amazing tales, experiences.
    -My Uncle fought & wounded WW2. U.S. Marine, 1/7, Guadalcanal through to Okinawa. Was also 1 of 7 in his platoon of 69 to survive. He is the reason I joined the Corps.
    -My brother fought & wounded (3x) in Vietnam...
