    worked at a dealership that would charge us if we damaged a car out of our checks full cost. I am going to move your seat if its the difference between safely driving your car and damaging it. I would have to guess anyway where the seat was to begin with assuming it didn't have memory seats. And yes im height challenged

    I think that's illegal... Or just bad business. Dealerships carry insurance to cover damage like that. Though it's cheaper to pay out of their own pocket.

    I cant speak to the legality I know they had a contract written that we signed as well but they only recently stopped doing it when the dealership was taken over. I had to pay 1100$ once for scratched bumper and trunk lid on a Lexus.

    There are no gears, there are teeth and if you hear them "grinding that is just the teeth jumping the indents on the seat rail attempting to lock in but they are not. There is literally zero harm occurring to the seats in doing that.
