Hi all ! I've been serching this forum for the location of the remote door lock wireless module location + the part # and pics if possible for a 2014 tacoma sr5, but can't find anything. My taco has power door lock, and I have a remote with a new battery, I just got the truck a few days ago. The dealer tells me I don't have option for remote door lock, so I figure it is because I don't have a wireless module installed. Can somebody point me in the right direction , please ? I'm new to this forum and not familiar with the search system. Thanks in advance

There is an "antenna/receiver" box directly above the glove box, but after tracking mine down I believe the brain of it is built into the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side. o_O

Thanks Justinlhc, I have been looking in that area, but not knowing what it looks like I can't tell if it is there or not.

I believe it's a blue box about the size of a pack of cigarettes

In my 2006 the keyless entry receiver module is located under the headliner, bolted to the roof in the back-left corner of the cab. Stuff like that is prone to change through the various redesigns though. I'm kind of confused. You say you have a remote, is this a Toyota remote that came with the truck? If so, your truck has keyless entry. I’m pretty sure it's standard in all trucks other than cheap 5 lug fleet versions.

I have a remote but it wasn't with the truck. It is the right remote for the truck, that much I know. I tried to program it several times, but it just doesn't work. That is where I ask the dealer about it, and according to the S/N, he told me I didn't have that option. So if it is power door lock, and I can't program the remote, I think not having this option, means not having a remote wireless receiver ?? right ?? So if I can find out what this receiver is, I could install one and I'd have remote door lock ??

I finally resolve my problem ! I had a remote start system installed and the remote lock/unlock is included in the kit ! And cheaper than getting the wireless module !

Which system did you get for the remote start? What other good options are there like a specific alarm system?

I got a '' Evo-one '' remote start. It included the remote unlock, so it was perfect for me. winters in Canada are cold, so I needed a remote start anyway! As for the alarm options, I have no idea.
