I just bought a 2021 Tacoma that I guess it would be considered bottom of the line. It has power locks and the used car dealership gave me a remote electronic key. The key didn't work and I was subsequently told this model isn't equipped with remote lock/unlock. However, the passenger door has no key access. It doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed how it's made?

To my knowledge no 3rd Gen has a key lock on the passenger side. The 2009 I used to have had power locks, but no remote. I bet you don't have intermittent wipers either... o_O

You have to double tap the key in the drivers door to unlock the passenger side. I have the Utility model, it doesn't get any more basic. I put an N2 Designs remote start in mine. Great mod.
