Remote locking sounder?

    I have a 2005 4 door SR5 4x4 that I purchased just after the first of the year, when I lock my doors with the remote I hear no tone/horn chirp, etc.
    Is this normal for the Tacoma? Or did the past owner disconnect this function? Do the 05 Tacoma with remote lock function have a factory security system or is that a option???

    I have an 05 as well - and I've checked the OM - it appears this year model only flashes the lights when the remote lock/unlock feature is used
