Remote Programming Problems

    2005 Prerunner. Can't get the programming mode to work. It goes into remote mode, but the locks cycle four times instead of twice and the new remote doesn't work. I must be missing something.

    The fob could be incorrect. I had the same issue with a cheap eBay fob.

    It is an aftermarket fob, but I got it working. Opening the driver's side door after hearing the locks cycle four times, then programming the remote seems to have done the trick.
    Everybody go back to drinking.
