Same here. Install was a breeze. Called the number in the box for a quick question and the guy in the video DIY answered. Incredible helpful and intelligent. Glad I made the choice for the plug-n-play. Hardest part for me was the disassembly of the paneling. (Gun shy on yanking new paneling...)

Anyone know if the truck doors will remain locked after remote starting it?

For people who has the 12volt, do you guys use a smartstart or just the 3xlock on your key fob? If so, which Smart start did you get?

I installed the 12volt remote start about a month ago and absolutely love it. From the condo (on the 14th floor) I can start the truck that's approx 175 ft away from the base of the building. Install was a breeze (although I was familiar with removing the required dash panels after the anytime-camera install.)

It wasn't inexpensive at $300 but has worked flawlessly so far. An added benefit of the SR with H-Key is that the truck remains running when the doors are unlocked and the key is put in the ignition.

For me ~250 ft line of sight with the OEM h-key fob.

Not hating on other options but I like the simplicity of their single button fob. I know with the H-key the motor won't shut off when the door is opened but will you verify a couple other things?
    1) That the truck remains locked after remote starting?
    2) You can lock/unlock the truck while it is remotely started via either factory fob and/or the accessory fob with this kit?

    Mahalo!

Doors stay locked. You can unlock. Truck stays running when you open the door. And 2way long range remote shows you that it started and is running so you do not need to see your truck. You can be at work in the building with no window or sight of your truck and you will know if it started or not.
