So I bought a '13 DCLB last week. It came with a key fob to unlock and lock doors. Yesterday hit a combination of buttons and low and behold, my truck started up remotely. I can't figure out combination of buttons I pushed to make it do that.
Obviously an aftermarket add-on. I think the brand name is Viper. Anyone know how the remote start works or can point me somewhere I can read up on it?

    Thanks

I have remote start in mine as well. For mine, I press the * button twice, and it starts up, twice again to shut it down (or press the brakes or open the hood).

Look under your driver's side foot well and look for the alarm module. A make and model number will help out more.

Also, depending on what brand the alarm system you have, some button combinations will turn on other features. For example, if I were to press the Lock, Unlock, and * buttons at the same time, it would turn on the window defrosters (if I had them). Aftermarket alarms can be programmed to do a number of things, depending on how they're installed.
