Remote start kit for 2002 tacoma!?!?

    Hey, I was wondering if anybody had any luck with successfully installing a remote start keyless entry kit on a 1st gen before. I found an awesome deal on a VIPER remote start kit and was wondering if it is even compatible or possible to install the kit and have it fully function! Any advice or insight is much appreciated!! Thanks :D

    A buddy who is an alarm guy for car toys is putting a clifford on my 01, he said hes put em on many trucks like mine so its definettly possible. Hes doing remote start, keylss entry (I dont have power locks) so door actuators, and a nice alarm hood sensors, rear slider sensor and other crap lol

    I had a viper put on mine by best buy. Install was included with purchase. I looked at doing it myself...anything with that many wires I will leave to the pros!

    Very easy. I work in a shop that does this like of work but very easy. Look on the12volt.com for your wore colors but be sure to always test wires to ensure they are correct

    I found the viper on Craigslist from a guy. Anybody know what installation would cost on something like this at Best Buy or any shop? Mainmoe, I do have a code for $40 off $100 from Advance Auto Parts which carries Viper products.

    I have a remote starter on my 01 SRunner. A friend of mine did it (I just can't park in gear) but I have put them on a few myself not hard at all. just need the wiring diagram.

    I don't do it anymore now that I live in San Diego. But when I lived in VA we had shitty weather there, that is where I got the remote start installed. all my cars after didn't need it. I have had two cars jump forward on me when they were left in gear. I would recommend against it also.
