@KB Voodoo Are you planning to run any Black Friday sales that would include the remote start?

We don't supply the Smart Start, but the module comes programmed for it.

Im not sure if you guys would know this but your system tricks the car into thinking the key fob is in the car correct. And the truck will turn off once you open the door. Why is it that when you start the car but then get out with the truck still running, if you come back and open the door without the key fob the truck will still run? Isn't it suppose to detect that there is no key fob and turn off once a door is opened?

The system cannot be bypassed. The only reason it stays running is because you started it with the key and the system actually goes into run mode unlocking the steering column and powering all parts of the computers not just enough to run the engine and some accessories.

The remote start is just simulating a keys ECU code to remote start and thats all. The toyota computer recognizes this and enables the safety feature its coded with. Toyota does not have key take over on push button systems like other manufactures.

If the remote start had the same behavior as your key, anyone break into the truck and drive off with it. This has been discussed 100 times and won't change. If you want remote start a restart is required each time you enter the vehicle.

I know the system cannot be bypassed. I have looked into it extensively. So youre saying when you turn the car on with remote start it isn't turning the entire car on? Just the essentials to get the car running? Thats interesting I wouldn't have guessed that. I understand the reason for turning off once the door is open but you'd guess that Toyota would want that same feature for someone who started their car and got out to do something incase someone tries to steal the car then.

Yes it doesn't fire up the entire system. Toyota also made it so that you cannot lock the vehicle while running. Thats done for a reason, people don't feel comfortable leaving a running vehicle unlocked. Also if you do that and the vehicle is stolen, the manufacture isn't on the hook for having a "unsafe" feature its the owner.

Installed my Auto Start today, or more correctly, finished installing today. Don't be like me, I was rushing to finish up over the weekend and switched the last two wire connections , triple check your wiring! All works great now! Actually looking forward to the next frost so I can watch it melt from inside :bananadance:
