Remote Start manual transmission issues..

Hey all,

looking for some help with a remote start on a 6 speed 2017 tacoma. The unit that was installed is a 2 way autostart system. Arming the system is very simple and it starts up just fine but...

1) when arming at night, with the headlights in auto, once armed and truck shuts off, the headlights will not turn off...waited over 30 mins to verify. Pressing the lock button on either the factory or remote start fob will not turn the headlights off. I realize I can just turn the headlight selector to OFF before getting out but I would like to not have to do that..

2) once armed, I press the start button on the remote start fob, the truck lights come on, the horn starts blaring 5-6 times until the engine turns over... again, this can be avoided by unlocking the truck before starting with the remote start fob, however once I do that and the truck is started I’m unable to lock the truck. Something to do with the security system I guess??

any wiring tips would be great..the guy that I paid to get installed has moved across the country and is proving to be little help...
