    I would upgrade my current remote start. I don't care how difficult the install would be, but price would definitely be a factor.

    We would like to offer a cost-effective upgrade to customers that previously purchased to get them swapped over if they choose but I don't have a timeframe on that at the moment. You would have to completely remove what you have now and install a new kit from scratch it might make more sense to sell your current kit and buy the newer release.

    Had remote on my ram diesel, did not shut off. Have viper system on the tacoma because I wanted to arm the bed. It came with the remote that shuts off when you open the door. To be quite honest I never use it, I often forget I have that remote option. So no, I would not spend the extra money to upgrade.

    Definitely no turn off when the door opens. No other company seems to do this. My 2022 Honda Civic stays running when the door is opened.

    Stoked. I don’t do preorders on things, but when this is available, you basically have a guaranteed purchase from me. Will be nice to not have to reach in and put my hand on the brake pedal to start the truck again every time I grab my snowbrush or scraper.

    looking forward to this. I already solved all the needless beeping, this remote start would be #2 out of 3 annoyances I have with this truck finally dealt with. Thanks for this update.

    I keep a spare snow brush in the box. You can unlock the doors and tailgate but because there is no switch on the tailgate to tell the system it got opened you can retrieve the snow brush without the truck shutting off. still not a solution, just a workaround.

    This reminds me of a couple of times I could not open the driver side door. (on a previous vehicle)

    Remote start (if I had pre-set the defrost fan speed & closed the circulation) would have allowed me to warm the interior so it would help defrost the frozen door.

    OP, I would not want an override. The OEM system works fine for me.
