Try 3 clicks total if it isn’t working. 2 clicks and the hold down on the 3rd. That’s how my 2023 OR is.

Interesting, I have a '21 TRD OR and mine doesn't have this option, but mine's from Canada. I don't know about the subscription part, I just ordered the module for my truck to have remote start that should be here Monday.

My 2019 OR has the factory remote start, but I rarely use it.

It's aftermarket, remote start wasn't available until 20.

Well, I'm not saying you are wrong, but my 2019 definitely has the factory remote start.

During the winter I use mine daily. Not so much in the summer.

Just because your fob starts it doesn't mean it's factory. I'm 100% positive it wasn't available from the factory in 19.

I have n2 and my fob starts it along with my phone. Use it pretty often in the cold.

I guess anything at and bellow R5 trim level doesn't have it. but previous said it shuts off when you one the door... don't think I use the remote anyway if that occurs

My '17 didn't come with autostart, but had the dealership install a 2 way Long Range car starter.

Not only can I start it from inside a building, and get a response on the aftermarket remote (indicating it's started), which I leave in my office and 1 at home, but I can now also use the oem remote to start it @ close range. Best of both worlds...

Why wouldn't you just have it connected to your fob so it is available to start wherever you are ?

Again my 2019 has the factory remote start, I have verified this to be fact. Maybe it has it because mine was a late in the year build.

My 2023 Sport is lock/lock/lock with a hold on the 3rd press (not 4th press). Works well but it's finnicky. Your button presses have to be precise and well-timed (i.e. the same amount of time between presses). It's insane that I found this on a YouTube video as well. Not a mention in the owners manual or from the dealer.

I had Factory Remote Service Subscription App put on my phone (May2021) and used it during 2021-22 winter.

After the subscription was over, I did not renew and learned of the FOB remote start on TW in 2022.

Been using FOB Remote Start primarily in winter and have benefited from this application.

Took these today before I was notified to work remotely. Used FOB Remote Start after brushing off snow.

Did you activate the 1 year free subscription or in this case did the original owner?

That might be what's going on here. I got it certified pre-owned with 24k miles so I'm assuming the dealer didn't reset the subscription.

No need to carry 2 remotes, when the oem one does the trick. Actually once, I brought it to Hockey and used it from the dressing room, because it was an extremely cold night. Other than that it works best from home and the office.

You do realize when I say oem remote, I am talking about the fob, right?

Hi. Im new. First Toyota. First post here. I just bought a 2020 SR5. Trying to figure everything out.
It looks like I should have remote start- even though I havent gotten it to work yet. Can anyone confirm this to be true? How can I find out definitively (aside from it working / not working)?

I know they were not available on the SR. Added Start-X with Carlink module to my 2020 SR and life is good.
