    I just did the start-x in mine.
    I cheeped out because all seemed to shut off anyway.
    I really didn’t need the range but range sucks now. I miss the range and pit stop option of the 12 volt solutions one I installed in my 2012.

    I'm shocked no one else has figured it out yet. That or it's not that easy to get around without lots of specialty equipment or software. They probably just tricked the computer into thinking the door wasn't open. That or taped down the door sensor.

    Think it's more than that. On two occasions mine has failed to shutoff when I opened the door. As soon as you hit the brakes it dies. Making the shutting off with the door too even dumber.

    When I bought my truck this past April, the salesman commented to me when he was showing off the feature that Toyota was going to be changing it with the gen 4 so that the truck would stay running. Don't know how true. If I had a choice, I'd leave it the way it is. I'd just restart the truck when I get in. It's just a button push.
