Remote start

I pulled the trigger and got it done yesterday at The Auto Specialist in Kirkland NY. After checking out a few shops, having had poor experience with one previously, not wanting Best Buy, and seeing what systems were available, I went with the 2 way Code Alarm.
With the two way, I had them silence all beeps. With the two way, I don't need it, and my neighbor's bedroom is right next to my driveway so no horn when it starts.
All doors on one push now.
Some SUPER trick features that I love, but will have to memorize the button sequences. Most of this is cool due to our black lab going EVERYWHERE with us. He is perfectly happy in the back seat for hours.
1: Obviously, the two way. I know if the truck is locked or not, running and how much run time is left.
2: Up to a mile range. I like this over the smart phone controlled option cuz that only works where there is cell service and I'm in no cell service areas a lot. Tested this parking at the far corner of the shopping area and starting the truck from the opposite corner, in the back of the store. Lots of interference and no issues. This is about as far away as I'll ever need to start it.
3: Interior temp!!! What ?! YES!! Now I know when my pup needs the truck started so he can be warmer or cooler. How freakin' cool is that?!
4: There are a bunch more cool features that might be great for those way north, or those deployed a lot. It can start once a day, or when the interior temp gets down to a certain temp.

So far so good. If I have any issues or learn more, I will post it up.

 

i live in AK and have astrostart (made by a Canadian company), basic 2-way autostart with about 1500 ft range.

 

I had the viper installed on my Honda ages ago and I plan on getting viper installed on my truck too.
