Has anyone been able to have a remote start system installed on a 2015 Tacoma? From what I am told by a local installer, my dealer, and Toyota USA, this must be the only vehicle on the planet that cannot have remote start. Thanks.

As part of my purchase, I negotiated a remote starter in my 2015. You have to go aftermarket. Mine works great! No issues, no problems, and I have about a 1000 foot range.

My last truck had one. Cannot make it through a nasty winter without it. Helps to keep baby comfy too when we go somewhere and it's 95 degrees in the truck. I'll never be without one.

Not sure what to tell you... There are many options, especially when it comes to the remotes. You can go cheap and get a one button remote but then you have to keep the Toyota remote on the keychain as well. I upgraded and got a longer range and a 4 button remote, one of which is only functional if you have a car (trunk button). Leave the heat/cold on the setting you want for tomorrow and then when you turn it on, it'll get warm/cool before you hop in.

    Simple.

I have a 2015 TRD Pro that I bought back in June of this year and it was a dealer installed option if I purchased the VIP RS3200 Plus Securiy System. It works great but cannot wait till winter to really appreciate the benefit

I started after I bought it November '14. I have a '15 Limited. Our local installer RT Grim said they
could do it as soon as Toyota released the "firmware", which has never happened. RT Grim installs
custom electronics for many of the new car dealers in the area. Three weeks ago I contacted Rahal
Toyota, my dealer, they quoted me $470 installed and I setup an appointment. Two days later they
cancelled me because there was "no remote start available for my VIN". Then I contacted "ToyotaCares"
online and they stated in their reply message that there was no remote start available fo the '15 Tacoma
and that any aftermarket installation of that kind would void my warranty. I saved that email message
    btw...
So I did a google search and VIPER came up. I entered my year, make, model and three choices came up.
So I contacted Viper and related my situation and asked simply, "will your system work on my 2015 Tacoma".
    Their reply was "No."

I looked this system up but it does not state "remote start" as being on e of the features. You have it installed and it does ?
    Thanks.

I do not have the info on it as it was installed at the dealer when I purchased the truck. I will be taking truck pick in a month for its first 5000 mile service and I will ask. But basically it works with the existing key fob. All I do is click the lock button 3 times and it starts up. Works every time and it is under Toyota warranty

Not sure about that, all I can tell you that I was offered the remote start along with the security system, bug guard, paint protectant, under carriage rust protectant, and interior scotch guard on seats & carpet.

But I will ask about the remot start info when I go back for service. And like I said, it works right off the original key fob by clicking the lock button 3 times

It's an aftermarket dealer installed option. Just because "Toyota" doesn't offer it or warranty it doesn't mean the dealer can't/won't.
