I recently had a remote starter installed. The only problem is that engine shuts off as soon as the door is opened. Is there any way around this issue?

From what I understand it is a Toyota safety thing and no way around it.

Thanks !! I was afraid it might be a safety thing which can not be changed. It was professionally installed at a local stereo shop which is well known for quality workmanship, but i have not yet had the chance to talk with technician who installed. This forum newbie appreciates the feedback !!
