Doesn't look quite right on a Tacoma...but hey, If it's easily reversible and cheap, then I can see why you'd wanna do it.

You know what? Throw in a full roll cage in there and it'd look badASS!

After you go wheeling a few times with the doors off, I guarantee it's going to be a struggle to get them to rehang and close/latch properly. Unless you beef up the hinge posts et al all around the door so that the shape stays true.

A guy I used to know out here hacked up his Bronco II (the small little POS) to make it a wheeler and one of the mods was the door removal. He did something similar to your mod here, but after a season of wheeling with the doors off, he could no longer get them to hang right.

Let me tell you, it was a cold ensuing Winter for him.

I would love to do this on my rig but I'd have to do the same with the reverse-opening access cab doors.

Would also need to wire up a quick-disconnect harness for the power windows, door locks, and speakers in the doors.

Very interesting idea. Would be awesome for the summertime!

Been thinking about this since yesterday and seriously, I would love to rock removable doors. It's now on my "one of these years I'll get around to it" list of things to do. Not high on the priority list, but I love the idea.

Need to do both the front and back doors, deal with the wiring issues, figure out side mirrors, and still have tunes, but I'd love to be cruising around with the truck wide open!

    IMG_2071_c8aa440c939d8563d686f11f7aaa95b5f0c9477c.jpg

The more I think about it, the more I want to do it. Free and breezy aside, the looks I'd get from Jeep guys would be reason enough. :taco:
