There is a whole lot of difference in MPG between going 70 and 80. Either way, I'd average out at least a week's worth of miles, if not more.

Without more data it's hard to say, can but your numbers seem low.
Agreed, you need more data... just normal driving... average it out.

That said, with an auto... your typical numbers seem low to begin with. Always on ETC?

There are a LOT of factors that can cause 2-3 MPG difference from one tank to the next. Removing the air dam didn't cost you more than an almost immeasurable fraction of 1 mpg. The fact that you removed it and saw 2-3 mpg is just coincidence.

windows open at 70-80mph? That alone will kill your mpg. at those speeds, its better to use AC or fresh air from the vents.

Very strange. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Mileage cannot change that much, and drive the same way you were driving before. There are lot of factors that can effect mileage. Keep that foot light. :)

Run through a couple more tanks of gas while keeping an eye on MPG. Maybe, just for giggles, put the air dam temporarily back on to see if you can isolate the variance in MPG to the air dam. Also, try to recount your driving habits. I am building a new deck in my backyard and hauling lots of wood in my trailer causing my MPG to drop from 22 to 18.

Took mine off and did a 1k mile road trip to to Canada..... all highway miles at 70mph.

No perceptible change in MPG on my end

I don't have an air dam and I have a cap and sliders but average right around 21 mpg driving about 70 on the highway. Any more than 75 and I drop to about 17.

But did you clean the bugs off your windshield (drag) and did you eat a heavy breakfast? Tomorrow try applying butter to your roof, should help the air glide over easier.

Are there any skid plates out there that can work with the front air dam?
