Remove back seat head rests but keep seat covers?

Hi all,

I take our dog with me almost anywhere I go. He appreciates that I put extra work into finding a DCSB for him to come along!

I really want to reclaim the visibility that is lost with the back seat head rests, so I’d like to find a way to get rid of them. But I have the back seat covered by a generic neoprene cover, and on top of that a padded doggy hammock. These both fasten around the head rests.

Are there any easy workarounds or different seat cover systems I should be looking at? I can’t be the only one who’s had this issue. Thanks!

 

Find some at a junk yard and cut the tops off.

 

Aren’t the headrests removable on the 07?

 

Yes. But the dog hammock thing fastens around the back of the headrest. If I take them off there’s nothing to fasten the hammock to.

 

Can you maybe modify the hammock so that it grabs low on the headrest posts and maybe keep them folded down?
