So after a few months I started getting a terrible metal on metal noise coming from the front of the truck. After inspection I found that the driver front coilover is rubbing against the sway bar. Not sure how that happens but read that some people take the sway bar off and others get the 1 inch relocate kit.

2016 Tacoma Off-road with 2.5 inch adjustable coilovers

    Opinions?

Remove your swaybar and get more front flex. Or pony up the $35 plus shipping for the ToyTec relocate kit, if you feel you must have a sway bar.

Relocate it . Please don't remove it. That works good for off-road but if you're traveling at 70 and need to do a panic maneuver you're going to end up in the ditch on your roof. use your common sense. Don't listen to anonymous people online who will not be there when you run into trouble.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Silliness. I've had my sway bar off for 50,000mi. Took it off at 40,000mi. Haven't flipped over yet and that's driving with shitty california trash people surrounding me.

Mines been off for a year with fox coilovers w/ eibach 600 lb springs. It leans but I drive differently knowing I have no sway bar. I might compensate a bit with slightly higher tire pressure. I say take them off if you run new coilovers.

I do have a sway bar bracket drop kit laying around never installed ill sell if you want it.

don't certain coilovers come with a relocation kit? I swear I saw somewhere on here that the Fox does or something.

I took the sway bar off on my 2002, it rode a lot nicer due to the reduction in friction but I didn't like how much body roll it had. It's worth driving around the block and seeing what your preferences are, but I'd be tempted to relocate it.

You can always relocate it if you don't like it.
